General Aptitude Test in Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (GATE ECE) is a national level examination that is conducted for admission in postgraduate Electronics and Communication engineering course. And also, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. The exam is conducted by the GATE committee in eight zones across India every year.
GATE examination not only allows aspirants to get admission in top colleges of engineering but also GATE score can help aspirants to get an attractive job in PSUs. Their application forms are available from September each year and most probably exam is conducted in the month of February. According to last year data, around 1 lakh students applied for GATE ECE exam. The examination pattern includes 65 questions that consist of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). From 2014 Gate examination is conducted online and the duration is three hours.
