The General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for Civil Engineering is a national level examination that is conducted for admissions to the postgraduate Civil Engineering MTech courses across India. In addition, open positions at India’s PSU enterprises like SAIL, ONGC, Power Grid etc.
GATE examination not only allows aspirants to get admission in top colleges of engineering but also GATE score can help aspirants to get an attractive job in PSUs. Their application forms are available from September each year and most probably exam is conducted in the month of February. According to last year data, around 1 lakh students applied for GATE CE exam. The examination pattern includes 65 questions that consist of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). From 2014 Gate examination is conducted online and the duration is three hours.
